Lead Without Fear

On this Halloween, it is important to remember that we need our teams to be free of fear. Free from the worry that an unsolicited comment or question, hardwork still not meeting the proposed plan, or not having the answers instantly leads to negative impact on the team. These are learned or justified behaviors that start at the top. The cost of doing better is so critical to team health, prosperity and lays the groundwork for how decisions are made objectively; truly the opposite of fear.

It is very important to treat others how you want to be treated. Know who you are and what you stand for making all of this clear to your team. Stand by it and them especially when times get hard (because they will). Show everyone you can that there is a better way, it just takes time and perseverance to get there.
